Taster Lunch

MY REFLECTION

On the Friday the 19 all the year 6 students had a Taster lunch.  At the taster lunch there was Afghans, Lasagna, Pavalova, Pizza Bread, Doublings, Fudge, Spring Rolls, Muffins, Orange, Chocolate fudge cake and so on. 

Peaceful Poems

My Reflection

I was learning to write a peaceful poem.  I found this tricky because I couldn't think of any peaceful places.  On this activity I worked with my friend Kendra. Next time I could maybe use more adjectives and descriptive words.

I was learning to do a wordsald about conflict.  I enjoyed doing the words and putting 

them together. I found it tricky to find words and use them. Next time I can use words that I already know.

I was learning to make a bookmark. I found making a bookmark easy because I already knew how to make a monster bookmark. With this activity I worked with my friends Rlisha-Blue and Layla. Next time I think I should make the paper even

I am learning to solve problems.  I found this problem a little bit tricky. The tricky bit was fitting every bit in the right place. I think I had Stickability.  Next time I think I work with someone else. 

My speech

MY REFLECTION

I am learning to write a speech. I found this a little bit tricky because I did not know what topic to chose. In my class we got into groups and my group that I was with said my speech was very good but they said I should work on being a bit louder. Next time I do a speech I think I should work on being louder and more confident.     

Kensukes kingdom book review

My Reflection

I am learning to write a reading response from books I have already read.  I found this easy because I remembered every little interesting detail and also I did some work of Kensukes Kingdom in my reading book.  Next time I think I should put some more vocabulary I havent used very often.   

Cheydan's View Gallery

I found this interesting because I learned how to use 4 different skill on a  camera. I found this really easy and fun it was very cool working with a camera. Room 22 had a photographer named  Chevelle.  

Peaceful Communities

My Reflection

I am learning to do a slideshow involving Peaceful Communities.  I found this a little easy and  tricky the easy part was putting everything in the slideshow and the tricky bit was reading books to find some infomation for some civil war or find something about Peaceful Communities.

Next time I think I should focus more on the books then the slideshow by that I mean going through the backrounds.

My Reflection

This is me on my bike doing bike skills.  I found this easy because we where doing standing riding on the bike . Next time I think I might want to focus a bit more.

Persuasive Poster

MY REFLECTION

I was learning to write a persuasive poster.  I used a rhetorical question, paragraphs/sub headings , good use of pictures and I didn't use too much detail but enough to sell camp.

Next time I think  I should use bossy verbs and a slogan.

I think i should work on my division and subtraction because that is the two things I am failing at.

Term 2 Week 8 Reflection
I have improved from week 1 but I have had a couple of weeks where I have gone down. This is because I was tired.I still need to work on getting to 100

Term 3 Reflection
I have been improving but I dropped down because I have been a little bit tiered in the class. I still need to work on getting to 100.

Term 4 week 2 Goal
This term I need to work on getting 100 and working on my division.

Mathletics Problem

My Reflection

I have been learning to work on converting improper fractions to mixed fractions.  I have found it tricky at first to understand but then I realised I have to use my basic facts knowledge to get quicker. I would like to continue to work on these types of problems.

I was learning to use different paint skills to paint a picture of Rangitoto. I used drag, tonal modelling, stipple and card print. I found it tricky to do drag because it was hard to keep the paint in the right place.

I was learning about different strategies to add 2 numbers. I am good at place value and partitioning but I need to work on the algorithm strategy.  My teacher can help me with this.

My Reflection:

This is me being anchor 1 on the rock climbing wall at Camp M.E.R.C. My highlight at camp M.E.R.C was body boarding and body boarding was my favorite activity. At camp I learned  how to surf kayak and take risks.

I was learning to write a Kenning's poem.  I am proud of the words that I described about me for my blog.  I worked hard on my Kenning's poem and put a lot of work and effort in.  Next time I could try to put a little more words and 1 more  photo.
